Today we celebrate and honor all those who worked, fought and dreamed, having as a common denominator unity, solidarity, humanity and our art.

We therefore aim to create a new institution, the Actors Union Cyprus Awards. The awards will focus both on individual performances by actors and actresses and the work of an entire ensemble of actors, in a theatrical performance, a dramatic and a comedy series, as well as film, and finally the AUC Lifetime Achievement Award. These distinctions are fundamental to the spirit of the Actors Union Cyprus, because they reward what all actors know to be true - that acting is a collaborative art.

We would like to take the first step by awarding the first ever AUC Lifetime Achievement Award. The Award is a creation of the Engraver/Visual Artist, Euklides Papadopoulos, which is based on a previous engraving of his work, and is awarded to a man who worked selflessly, always close to the youth, with determination and courage, either as president of the Union, or as a member of the Board of Directors, or in an advisory capacity as an experienced and strong voice. His contribution is valuable to all of us and we cannot help but give this award to our beloved....
